Artist Statement
- Julia Aleshina
- My artworks are scenic, a little bit stagy and do not reflect reality. Only my world exists in it and people there are like I want them to be seen. My world is full of imagery (picturesque) and atmosphere (impression, sickness, phlegma and anonymity). For me the photographing itself as a process is somewhat close to the theatrical performance where I can be either a director or a bystander. But whatever this performance is like - it every time turns to a fascinating adventure.
